Ep 140: Africa @ Qatar 2022 Embrace What You Have ft Benyi Johnson

The Qatar 2022 World Cup was a great tournament for Africa, Asia, and everyone else who participated. Benyi and I looked into the performances, lessons that should be taken from the game, who was considered the flop, and the best African player of the tournament. We also discussed the "France is the African team" issue & treatment of Immigrants from Africa. We gave a shout-out to our Canadian neighbors for their embrace of diversity which in my opinion is a much better job than the United States Federation.

Benyi and I also picked our best XI of African players at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. We both had different teams and styles although they might look similar on paper. Benyi made sure not to leave out his Senegalese brethren. Finally, we addressed Uruguay, Luis Suarez (I am a big fan) and looked forward to the next AFCON competition. We both hope that the success of Morocco will encourage more African federations to trust their talents and invest in infrastructure instead of the white gaze.
